A local coffee shop in Luang Prabang

During my trip in Luang Prabang last year, I visited two coffee shops. These places are oftentimes mentioned by travellers. They are totally different coffee shop styles though. The one I’m now showing you is in a local style, named “Pa-Sa-Ne-Yom Coffee Shop”. You can see this shop style on the street. I don’t know about others traveller particularly Western and European, but this shop is really well-known amongst Thai people. There’s even a phrase like “If you travel to Luang Prabang but you don’t have an experience at Pasaneyom Coffee Shop, you are not into Luang Prabang indeed”. Well, how could I miss it then!

The shop is located at Souvanbanlang Street alongside Mekong River, at a corner of T-junction near a ferry to Xieng Maen.

once again, you have some fantastic images – and you seem to have a good handle on south east asia.

I’m headed there in a year – and I was wondering what tips you might have to offer before I start planning my routes?
