Distant Look in Black and White

April 12, 2009

A snapshot is one of my favorite photographs I like to do and still keep practising my own skill. When I snap people photos I always find myself pay attention to their eyes.  Looking at people eyes is such amazing moment especially when they are in thought.

Boats on the water surface, Chiang Sean Lake

April 1, 2009

The following photos were taken when I was at Chiang Sean Lake in Chiang Rai. Besides the photos of boats on the water surface taken, a photographer – yes, it was me - was also floating… on the water surface on the boat, of course :)

Boat on the Mekong River, Luang Prabang, Laos

March 31, 2009

When I started the previous boat posting on the Mekong River, you could probably guess where next to the boat photos. I’ve been around the Mekong River many times last year. Luang Prabang was one of destinations. The town is located alongside the Mekong River. How couldn’t I get the boat photos?

Here are some photos taken on a boat trip to Pak Ou Caves.

Boat on the Mekong River, Chiang Sean, Thailand

March 27, 2009

Unintentionally, I have just realized that I’ve got lots of Boat photos taken from many trips I did last year and even the lastest trip I went to Cambodia. Let me start at the boat photos on the Mekong River in Chiang Sean, Chiang Rai, Thailand. I went there last New Year holidays. Photos taken at the late afternoon, around 5-6pm.

I don’t know why…when I look at these photos, they give me a thought like “between a pause, there always has a move”. Just like the photos below particularly the second photo, the boat parked but things around it keep moving… flowing river… drifting mist… even time goes by…

Birding around Ang Trapaeng Thmor – More photos

March 17, 2009

Many species had been seen around the Ang Trapaeng Thmor. It is a proof of successful ecotourism concept in Cambodia; long-term environmental, socio-cultural and economic sustainability.

I almost forget to mention about a local organization who provides birdwatching tour in Cambodia. The Sam Veasa Center (SVC) in partnership with Wildlife Conservation Society is the tour organizer of our trip. Visit thier website for more information http://www.samveasna.org
