Located in Chiang Rai province, Thailand. The forest park is named as its geography. “Phu” means to a summit; “Chi” is “to point (up)” and “Fa” means to a sky. To make it more clearly, it is a “skyward summit”.
The best time to go up there is before sunrise. Walking distance 760 meters from a parking lot along the curve cliff pathway, it isn’t that far. Because of you will be enjoyably with spectacular scenery particularly the sea of mist.
Although Phu Chi Fa is in Thailand, however, when you stand at the summit and look downward to the view of the valley, you are looking to mountains in Laos. If there is a good visibility, you could even see the Mae Khong River in Laos.
